A Little Privacy Never Hurt.

If you've looked at the internet, you likely know about the release of the infamous iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in all their glory.

One feature of the iPhone 6 that has caught some glances, that the average user likely doesn't pay much attention to, is the default encryption on it.

If you don't know what an encryption is, imagine it like a code that makes your messages, calls, and everything else you do on the phone so that other people can't see it. Simply put, it keeps criminals out of the loop.

The government does not like encrypted things. It makes their lives hard. (Wah.)

Police, in particular, have much more trouble getting into phones with this kind of security. The FBI Director scolded Apple for putting this encryption on their phone.

They believe that encrypted phones give leeway to criminals. This is very wrong. It's wrong and it's a mistake that's been repeated over and over.

You may or may not have heard of the internet browser Tor. It is a web browser that's sole focus is on privacy, anonymity, and safety. That sounds like a great thing, right? Well, most people wouldn't agree with that.

Tor is commonly thought of as a "browser for criminals (gasp!)" due to it's anonymity core principles.

The fact is, though, there are not-so-nice people that the FBI. in all their infinite wisdom, have failed to protect us all from before. So taking security precautions is a good thing.

The problem we've had that authorities far above us (NSA, FBI, CIA, etc.) had access to early technology long before most of us. This meant they had all the access in the world and told people it helped them catch criminals, and we accepted that.

However, now, the people have caught up. Now, they do not have all the access they had before, access they shouldn't have had in the first place. Now we know how to guard our privacy. And like a baby who got it's candy taken away, they will throw a fit until they get it back.

It is our jobs as citizens to not give them this power. Police will still have ways to solve crimes without find their ways into the backdoors of our cell phones and laptops.

So FBI Director James Comey, quit yapping mercilessly about your disappointment in Apple protecting it's users and get back to business. You have reporter's reputations to tarnish!

I'm going to keep this next topic short, because it's not particularly new but I do enjoy it very much.

If you've ever heard of the artist Banksy you either praise him as a powerful symbol of freedom or hate him as a criminal-scum who has no right to do what he does.

For those who don't know him, he is a graffiti artist in the U.K. who is one of the most fascinating modern artists alive in my opinion. Of course, seeing that his work is illegal, there's controversy surrounding him.

However, if you haven't seen his works before, you should definitely check them out. I'll leave a few here, though.

Finally, on the back cover of his book:

Banksy's work is all over the internet if you'd like to look him up for yourself, and I would highly suggest you do!

That's all for today and I'll be back on tomorrow to post!
